The Opportunity:

We at Flywire are looking for an enthusiastic, bright, motivated, energetic, ambitious, analytical, persuasive, detail oriented and results-driven Business Development Representative who will live up to company culture and values and help us continue growing the Flywire brand in Canada. This individual is passionate about helping educational institutions enhance the lives of students and understands the urgency of a post start-up growth setting, and takes pride in the ownership of their tasks while functioning well in a team setting.

The successful candidate’s role will be to focus on signing new Flywire customers in the
education space. This is an amazing opportunity for an extraordinary and talented business
development professional to introduce and grow Flywire’s unique and highly effective payment platform in the education market in both Atlantic Canada and nationally.

Here’s What We’re Look For:

This position requires the candidate to reside and work remotely in Atlantic Canada. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, Canada, the Business Development Representative will be responsible for:

  • Planning, executing and managing the sales process from prospect identification to contract signing;
  • Directly managing all sales efforts in Atlantic Canada, driving new client acquisition with a primary focus on post-secondary institutions and a secondary focus on other educational institutions, associations and organizations with international student populations;
  • Establishing and building relationships with senior and operational stakeholders, uncovering their payment processing needs while also understanding their unique institutional challenges, strategies and goals.
  • Working collaboratively with Flymates across Canada (the company?) to identify, engage and close prospects outside the Atlantic region whose needs fit with existing and emerging Flywire product offerings;
  • Utilizing prospecting and research tools, coordinate with fellow Sales and Relationship Managers to qualify opportunities outside Atlantic Canada; prepare for and book pitch meetings with target prospects.
  • Employing sales development best practices with email, phone, and social campaigns using enablement technology to connect with new prospects.
  • Strategizing with team members to innovate & improve the overall sales development process.
  • Supporting high value projects that expand Flywire’s relationships in higher education
