As we wrapped up 2024, we celebrated a remarkable group of FlyMates through our inaugural Annual Recognition Awards! Nominated by their peers, these individuals have truly led the way in embodying our core values, shaping our culture, and inspiring others to do the same. Their dedication is making Flywire a better place for us all.
We caught up with them to dive deeper into the contributions that earned them this well-deserved recognition:
FlyBetter Star: Nantisara Pipattanananti Tanyadee, Senior Content Localization Manager

What do you find most fulfilling about contributing to causes outside of your formal job responsibilities, and how does it enhance your overall sense of purpose? “Volunteering allows me to make a meaningful impact beyond my daily work, and that’s incredibly fulfilling. I’m especially grateful for the FlyBetter days that our company provides, as they give me the opportunity to dedicate time to causes I care about without having to balance it with work commitments. Knowing that I can use my time and skills to help others—whether it’s supporting a community initiative or simply bringing a smile to someone’s face—gives me a deeper sense of purpose.
What’s even more inspiring is the power of people coming together. Every contribution, no matter how small, adds up to create real change. When we all do our part, we can have a much greater impact on society. It’s incredible to see how a simple act of kindness or a few hours of volunteering can ripple out and make a difference. This also reinforces how much I appreciate working for a company that actively supports and encourages giving back. Being part of an organization that values community involvement makes me even more motivated and proud to work here, knowing that we’re not just focused on business but also on making a positive difference in the world.”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “Being recognized by my fellow FlyMates is truly uplifting. It’s an amazing feeling to be part of a workplace that values and celebrates giving back. Volunteering is something I do because it’s meaningful to me, so to have my efforts acknowledged by my colleagues makes it even more special. It motivates me to keep going and, hopefully, inspire others to take advantage of FlyBetter days and get involved in causes they care about.”
Values Champion: Ruhi Ruperee, Consumer Growth Marketing Manager

How has living by the company’s values impacted your own personal and professional growth? “It's refreshing to work collaboratively with such wonderful colleagues having diverse talents and socio-cultural backgrounds, linked ever so intrinsically by our values.
This reiterates the importance of living our values and embodying them gives me confidence, curiosity, and purpose.
It makes my journey at Flywire nothing short of a truly inspiring experience!”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “Thrilled to have been recognized by my FlyMates as someone who imbibes and represents our values. Flywire’s values are core to how we work and it is reflected in our work culture, every single day. I feel proud and motivated to continue contributing to the organization.”
Leadership Impact: Alison Wallace, Director, B2B Technical Support

What role does communication play in your leadership and how do you ensure all team members feel heard and understood? “Communication and transparency are everything. I set clear, reasonable expectations and give direct feedback. I don’t hesitate to admit my own limitations and apologize when I need to, because that is what I expect from my team. Operating this way allows trust and mutual respect to grow over time and builds a culture where everyone feels comfortable speaking up and understood when they do.”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “It’s incredibly affirming. In the Women of Flywire group, we’ve discussed how many of us struggle with imposter syndrome. It’s great to be reminded that leadership is where I belong.”
Operational Excellence: Jin Cui, Payment Experience Specialist, SFS

What do you believe is the key to consistently delivering high-quality work, especially under tight deadlines or challenging circumstances? “Delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines or tough situations comes down to two things: solid planning and staying flexible. A good plan helps set priorities, manage time, and keep things on track. But let’s be real—unexpected challenges always pop up. That’s where adaptability comes in. Being open to new solutions and quick to adjust makes all the difference when things don’t go as planned. It’s all about finding the right balance—having a structure in place but staying flexible enough to pivot when needed. That’s how you keep things running smoothly without compromising quality.”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “Being recognized by my fellow FlyMates? It’s such an amazing feeling! It’s not just about the acknowledgment—it's a reminder of how our collaboration and shared commitment make the work we do so meaningful. At Flywire, every challenge we tackle is a chance to learn something new and push ourselves further, and it’s truly fulfilling to be part of a team that values innovation, support, and continuous growth. Knowing that my contributions have made a real impact and are appreciated by the incredible people I work with makes this journey even more inspiring. It’s moments like these that remind me why I love what I do!”
Wellbeing Advocate: Sarah King, VP, Corporate Marketing (Corp)

How do you define ‘wellbeing’ in the workplace, and why do you believe it’s important for both individuals and organizations? “I define wellbeing in the workplace as fostering an environment of belonging, fulfillment and accountability that empowers every single person to work to their full potential. It's about showing up every day as your true, authentic self and knowing that when you look to your right and your left (literally or figuratively!), you can be confident that the people around you are going to work hard and will respect and support you. I believe fostering wellbeing is a critical part of building the high-performance teams that we have here at Flywire. If you don't feel your best, you won't do your best, and that could come at the expense of efficiency, productivity and growth. I really feel privileged to work at a company that treats people as the strategic assets that they are, and invests in our global group of FlyMates accordingly.”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “I'm really humbled to be recognized! I could name many, many other FlyMates worthy of this recognition, which speaks to the culture of respect and integrity we have here. Thank you, FlyMates!”

We leverage social channels to connect with potential clients, partners, and industry thought leaders, positioning Flywire as a trusted solution provider across key sectors. By sharing insightful content, engaging in real-time conversations, and responding to feedback, we actively foster relationships that drive brand recognition and credibility. Social media also allows us to monitor market trends and showcase our expertise, which directly supports our efforts to expand Flywire’s reach and advance our strategy in competitive landscapes. Ultimately, it’s a key tool in enhancing our visibility and driving meaningful engagement within the global community.
Personally, I engage with the broader community by sharing thought-provoking content and insights that spark meaningful conversations about industry trends and challenges. Culture Ambassador: Sunita Menon, Manager, Technical Implementations

What makes Flywire’s workplace culture unique, and how do you help reinforce it? “Flywire’s culture is more than just words on a website—it’s a living, breathing force that shapes the way we work, collaborate, and support one another. It was built on shared experiences, resilience, and an intentional commitment to fostering a strong, supportive community.
What makes Flywire different is that we don’t just talk about values like Global Collaboration, Authenticity, Fulfillment, Execution, Ambitious Innovation, and Evolved Learning—we live them. I see it every day, in big moments and small gestures. It’s in the way teams rally around a challenge, how leaders listen and learn alongside their teams, and how FlyMates go above and beyond to support one another.
One of the most powerful examples of our culture in action was when @nantisara stepped up during the floods in Valencia, organizing support for those affected. That wasn’t just kindness—it was a powerful example of how FlyMates show up for each other, proving that our culture isn’t just what we say, but what we do.
As a Cultural Ambassador, I see it as part of my responsibility to help keep this spirit alive. I do this by leading with authenticity, encouraging open conversations, and recognizing the everyday moments that make a difference. I believe culture is strengthened through action—whether it’s celebrating a win, calling out behaviors that don’t align with our values, or simply making time to listen and support a teammate.
What makes Flywire truly special is the way FlyMates across teams and regions come together—pushing boundaries, embracing challenges, and finding innovative ways to create impact. Whether it’s solving complex problems, bringing fresh ideas to the table, or supporting one another through challenges, every FlyMate plays a role in shaping our culture.
At the end of the day, Flywire’s culture isn’t about policies or processes—it’s about people. It’s about the way we show up for each other, challenge each other, and grow together. That’s what makes Flywire special, and that’s what I strive to reinforce every day.”
How does it feel to be recognized by your fellow FlyMates? “Honestly, it’s humbling. To be recognized by the people you respect and admire is one of the most meaningful things that can happen in a workplace. Flywire is filled with incredibly talented, hardworking, and passionate individuals, so to know that my contributions to our culture are seen and valued means the world to me.
What makes this recognition even more special is that it’s never about just one person—it’s about the collective. Flywire’s culture thrives because of all of us. When one of us succeeds, we all do. That’s what makes being part of this company so rewarding.
This recognition isn’t just a moment for me—it’s a reminder of why I love being part of Flywire. It fuels my passion to keep building, keep supporting, and keep ensuring that every FlyMate, no matter where they are in the world, feels the strength of our culture. Because at the end of the day, we are greater together than we are alone.
